Roman forest park
In the immediate vicinity of the central town square and Daruvar Spa, there is a natural and healthy forest park, i.e. the Roman forest. The Roman forest is abundant with different varieties of flora and fauna that inhabit an area of 20 hectares. It is lined with landscaped hiking trails, promenades and benches for relaxation. The forest slopes have preserved traces of historical heritage and the Roman forest is one of the most important archaeological sites in Daruvar area.
It also houses the Jewish Cemetery, and Julius Brum (Julius’ spring, namely the spring of love), which comes with a myth that he whoever drinks from the spring, falls in love.
In an ancient dreamy Roman forest near the city lies a source of eternal love and a place of tranquillity where visitors leave small stones.
